Several faces, and the one that has to seal
Valve bodies and manifold blocks are prismatic parts with features on several faces, deep cross-drilled porting and sealing surfaces that decide whether the assembly leaks. They are machined on the horizontal centre where the spindle lets chips fall clear of the cut, and on the turn-mill centre where the body is turned from bar.
- Materials
- Carbon and alloy steels, stainless including 304, 316 and duplex grades, aluminium alloys, brass and bronze, and machined castings supplied through the vendor base.
- Size range
- Prismatic bodies to 600 x 500 x 500 mm on the horizontal centre. Bodies turned from bar to 315 mm diameter, with 106 mm through the spindle.
- Features handled
- Cross-drilled and intersecting ports, counterbores and seal grooves, spot faces, tapped and threaded ports, spigot registers, mounting faces including ISO 5211 patterns.
- Inspection
- Dimensions and geometry on the Accurate Spectra CMM. Seal groove and seat profiles on the Mahr MarSurf contour tester. Sealing face finish on the Mitutoyo SJ-410. Bores gauged with air gauges where volumes justify it.

Made to the drawing, proved against it

Certification route
Anicon holds ISO 9001:2015. Where a part calls for IATF 16949 it is supplied through Versatile Equipments Pvt Ltd, certified to IATF 16949 and ISO 9001:2015. Anicon’s own IATF certification is in progress.
