Two fits on one part, and they have to agree
Bushes look simple and are not. The bore is a running fit, the outside is usually an interference fit, and the two have to be concentric after the part is pressed home. Turning the bore and the outside diameter in one clamping is what holds that relationship, and air gauging is what proves it across a batch rather than on the first piece.
- Materials
- Leaded and phosphor bronze, gunmetal, brass, carbon and alloy steels, case hardening grades, stainless, and sintered or cast blanks supplied through the vendor base.
- Size range
- Turned to 315 mm diameter with 106 mm through the spindle. Larger sleeves and wear rings run on the turning centres to 1200 mm.
- Features handled
- Ground and reamed bores, oil grooves and cross drillings, flanged and shouldered forms, seal recesses, chamfered lead-ins, knurled and splined outside diameters.
- Inspection
- Bore size and roundness gauged with air gauges for production quantities, which is fast enough to check every piece rather than a sample. Concentricity and geometry on the CMM. Finish on the SJ-410.
Accuracy
Made to the drawing, proved against it
Tell us at enquiry stage which characteristic decides the part. We will confirm capability against that one rather than quote a general figure and hope.
Certification route
Anicon holds ISO 9001:2015. Where a part calls for IATF 16949 it is supplied through Versatile Equipments Pvt Ltd, certified to IATF 16949 and ISO 9001:2015. Anicon’s own IATF certification is in progress.
