Free cutting, and unforgiving about burrs
Non-ferrous work has its own habits. Brass cuts fast and free but marks easily and will pick up a burr in a cross-hole that a pressure test finds later. Bronze is more forgiving to cut and less forgiving to get wrong, since it usually ends up as a bearing surface. Both are run from bar on the turn-mill centre, complete in one clamping, so handling damage between operations does not get the chance to happen.

- Free cutting and naval brass, leaded and phosphor bronze, gunmetal, aluminium bronze. Certificates supplied with the batch on request.
- Size range
- Bar to 106 mm through the spindle, turned components to 315 mm diameter.
- Features handled
- Internal and external threads including parallel and tapered pipe forms, hex and spanner flats, sealing cones and faces, cross drillings and metering orifices, knurled grips, deburred and cleaned bores.
- Inspection
- Thread forms checked with thread gauges and on the shadowgraph with automated image analysis, which suits small profiled non-ferrous parts. Sealing faces on the SJ-410, geometry on the CMM.

Made to the drawing, proved against it
Tell us at enquiry stage which characteristic decides the part. We will confirm capability against that one rather than quote a general figure and hope.
Certification route
Anicon holds ISO 9001:2015. Where a part calls for IATF 16949 it is supplied through Versatile Equipments Pvt Ltd, certified to IATF 16949 and ISO 9001:2015. Anicon’s own IATF certification is in progress.
